Government Waste

Change Congress!

Government Waste

The Federal government has no greater obligation than to spend taxpayer dollars wisely. While we may not always be able to achieve a balanced budget, members of Congress have a solemn duty to avoid excessive, wasteful spending, and to ensure that our country will always be able to meet its obligations.

The single biggest driver of our federal deficit is rising health care costs. This is another reason why I advocate for single-payer health care reform. It is fiscally irresponsible to waste over $1 trillion each year on insurance middlemen, overpriced pharmaceuticals, and other low-quality, inefficient absurdities in our current health care system. A single-payer system will eliminate this waste.

Of course we can’t stop there. As your congressman, I will remain vigilant for other sources of waste. When we find one, I’ll work to eliminate it so that your tax dollars are spent wisely and responsibly. By doing this, I believe the United States will be able to remain the world’s #1 economy.
